Job Description:
Job Description: This position assists with assessment,
planning, implementation and evaluation of selected technical
aspects of patient care under direct supervision of the Charge RN,
Assistant Head Nurse, Nurse Manager and/or the Director, to meet
the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable
federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies as well
as meeting the goals and mission of the department. Provides direct
and indirect care for adolescent to geriatric patients to aid
meeting the patients’ needs as directed. Provides patients with
activity opportunities appropriate to their ages and abilities and
related to their plan for care, either individually and/or in group
settings. Education Qualifications: Assist with the assessment,
planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care under the
direct supervision of nursing leadership Support both direct and
indirect care for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics
Ensure patient care practices meet Joint Commission standards and
other regulatory guidelines Collaborate with the care team to help
meet departmental goals and the organization’s mission Facilitate
age-appropriate individual and group activities aligned with each
patient’s care plan Promote a supportive and safe environment that
addresses each patient’s physical, emotional, and social needs
Educational Requirements: Duluth Main Campus (only): 1 year
experience in working with persons with mental health symptoms or
related applicable experience OR Degree in social services related
field OR Certified Peer Support Specialist in Minnesota or
Wisconsin Preferred Qualifications: Duluth Main Campus (only):
Completed psychology courses Licensure/Certification
Qualifications: Certification/Licensure Requirements: Basic Cardiac
Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire. (This
