Front Office Patient Service Rep, Full-time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Clinic Support Location: Hancock, Michigan Employment Status: Full-timeFTE: 1.0 (80 hours bi-weekly)Physical Work Location: Hancock Family Health Center POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the Operations team, the Front Office Patient Service Representative (FOPSR) is often first contact a patient has with the organization in person at the front desk. The FOPSR represents the organization in a constructive and professional manner, providing the highest-level customer service by interacting and assisting patients to register for appointments, collecting patient co-pays, updating patent information, schedule appointments, answer and route questions to the appropriate clinic staff, and other front office check duties. Education, Training, Licensing and Credentialing Required: + High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: + Advanced training in business, service or healthcare related field. + Training in medical terminology Experience and Skills Required: + Professional and friendly demeanor + Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, in English + Proficient in typing skills + Proficient computer skills including experience using email + Ability to multi-task with attention to detail + Ability to problem solve + Prior experience and ongoing ability to maintain confidential information Preferred: + Prior experience using eClinical Works (ECW) + Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint + Experience working in healthcare field + Experience working in the service industry providing high quality customer-service + Experience working in a call center or as a receptionist NEXT STEPS: If this opportunity interests you, click Login to Apply to attach your resume, as well as answer all application questions.
