Job Description:

+ The primary focus of Client Services Representative I-Lab will be on development towards being able to complete the tasks of the Client Services Representative II-Lab. In preparation to assume the duties and advance to the CSR II position, the CSR I is responsible for gaining competencies in receiving and distribution of specimens and samples to the appropriate area and the day to day tasks of information collection, correlation and distribution to the appropriate area. Responsible for the customer service functions of the laboratory.
+ Education: High School graduate.
+ Experience: Six (6) months phlebotomy or medical lab experience.
+ Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A

+ Experience: One (1) year of medical laboratory experience.

+ Computerized data management systems including operation of a computerized data management system; routine billing procedures. Ability to maintain accurate and complete records and maintain strict confidentiality with regards to patient information. Customer service skills such as ability to effectively greet the public; work well with patients and Hospital employees; communicate effectively with all kinds of people. Ability to accurately maintain sample and report identity using patient name and identification number through sample receipt, processing and reporting. Ability to follow directions and perform tasks outlined in procedure. Ability to exercise judgment and take responsibility to maintain patient health and safety during specimen collection. Ability to organize work and meet deadlines. Ability to follow through internet search of tests. Requires depth of knowledge in the area of laboratory medicine. Understands hazardous materials encountered and treats in appropriate manner.
+ READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
+ WRITING - Basic: Ability to write simple correspondence.
+ SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak simple sentences.
+ MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
+ REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
+ AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES - Skilled at assessment and knowledgeable of growth and development. Provides appropriate care respective to the ages of the patients served per clinical environment.
+ Ability to see, hear and speak in English. Ability to lift up to thirty-five (35) pounds.
+ Stand - Continuously Over 2/3 (5.5 8 hours)
+ Walk - Continuously Over 2/3 (5.5 8 hours)
+ Sit - Frequently 1/3 to 2/3 (2.5 5.5 hours)
+ Use hands to finger, handle, or feel - Continuously Over 2/3 (5.5 8 hours)

+ Stoop, squat, kneel, or crouch - Occasionally Under 1/3 (1-2.5 hours)
