Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and service hydraulic,
structural or electrical systems of equipment
Assemble large and heavy fabricated components according to product
Inspect materials and products for conformance to
Read and interpret schematics (blueprints) and work orders to
understand customer requirements.
Use basic hand tools such as tape measures, power tools, jigs,
fixtures, and specialty equipment.
Learn and operate all equipment within the work area (cell).
Support APS (Altec Production System) initiatives. Participate in
Move to other work areas in order to support production needs.
Effectively assist and train new/current associates.
Follow established safety, environmental and quality policies,
procedures and practices to include proper use and care of PPE
Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment.
Other job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma/GED.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend.
Basic computer usage knowledge.
Ability to read tape measures, blue prints, and schematics.
General knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing processes
Ability to work in all weather conditions (area specific)
Two years or more Altec experience or four years or more non-Altec
experience working with and trouble shooting skills of at least one
of the following:Electrical- Must be proficient in utilizing
electrical diagrams containing circuit boards, relays and switches
to tie into chassis electrical systems
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS DESIRED:
Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
OTHER POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Ability to obtain Forklift certificate if required.
