Job Description:
St. Louis County Janitors work as part of a team and work
independently to provide routine janitorial maintenance work at an
assigned County facility.
Available shift:
The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for
2025. The full salary range, including longevity pay, is $20.46 -
$27.64 per hour.
This position is part of the -Civil Service Basic Unit Employees
Collective Bargaining Agreement -represented by Council 5 of
AFSCME. -
St. Louis County does not participate in E-Verify. All employees
must be continuously authorized to work in the United States, for
St. Louis County, -on a full-time basis. St. Louis County does not
provide sponsorship for employment visas.
An employee in this class performs a variety of tasks to ensure the
cleanliness, sanitation, safety and security of County facilities.
-Duties include cleaning facilities, maintaining equipment and
making minor repairs. - The work is performed under the direction
of assigned supervisory staff.
These work environment factors are general in nature and may vary
depending on the specific position being filled. CONSTANT: Balance,
grasp/handle, stand, walk and vision. -FREQUENT: Lift and carry up
to 10 pounds; reach, -rotate trunk, stoop/bend, works alone,
outside. OCCASIONAL: Push/pull up to 10 pounds, climb stairs,
crouch/squat, customer/public contact. RARE: Lift up to 20 -pounds,
-lift/carry -up to 40 pounds, push/pull up to 55 pounds, climb step
ladders, crawl, kneel, reach above shoulder, -sit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Pass/Fail):
