Emergency Preparedness Partner Apply Locations: Duluth, MN Time Type: Full time Posted on: Posted 4 Days Ago Job Requisition ID: R061127 Building Location:Building B - St Marys Medical Center Department:45240 Emergency Management Job Description: Under the direction of the Emergency Preparedness Program Manager, the Emergency Preparedness Partner assists with plans for emergency preparedness for Essentia Health. This role involves assisting in the development, management, and annual evaluation of the Emergency Operation Plan. Responsibilities include coordinating operational activities and planning for emergency support functions. The partner is responsible for ensuring that Essentia Health facilities meet all regulatory requirements for emergency preparedness. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing needs on an ongoing basis and developing an action plan to fulfill defined needs.
• Organizing, managing, conducting, and documenting emergency preparedness exercises, including decontamination and other drills, to support compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines.
• Coordinating and implementing education for leaders, staff, and departments of Essentia Health.
• Serving as a representative of Essentia Health in community, regional, state, and national emergency operations.
• Co-coordinating emergency response activities with state, county, and municipal authorities.
• Collaborating with emergency preparedness leaders from across Essentia Health. Work Experience: Demonstrated experience in emergency preparedness is required, with healthcare experience strongly preferred. Experience in planning and managing projects/programs, and the ability to work cooperatively with a variety of colleagues is essential. Experience with the presentation of training programs to a diverse audience is also required. Education Qualifications: Emergency Preparedness Partner Licensure/Certification Qualifications: No certification/licensure required.
