This position is directly accountable for leading a project team to develop low to medium complexity brownfield projects assigned to Core Projects. The team is accountable for the project development activities associated with modification, expansion, operability, reliability, and integrity of existing Enbridge facilities.

What Will You Do:

• Supervise a team of Project Development engineers to drive innovative, fit-for-purpose, development of projects in support of business drivers that protect and/or enhance pipelines and facilities throughput and revenue, often providing options that permit customer flexibility and choice.
  
• Drive strong engagement of people through meaningful individual development plans, timely and effective performance conversations, appropriate competency-based training and learning opportunities, and elimination of non-value work.
  
• Ensuring Maintenance Capital (MC), Enhancement Capital (EC), and Growth budgets are optimized through fit for purpose development, collaboration, and communication with stakeholders and timely and accurate forecasting to support business decisions.
  
• Provide regular formal and informal project management reporting to Senior Management and stakeholders on assigned projects.
  
• Project team resourcing; stakeholder management; preliminary determination of regulatory requirements; and completion of front-end engineering designs, cost estimates, schedules, and project execution strategies.
  
• Oversee technical activities such as preliminary engineering activities, scope development, hydraulic analysis, cost estimation, schedule development, risk assessment, and economic analysis.
  
  
  Who You Are:
  
  • Engineering degree.
    
  • A Professional Engineer designation or eligible to attain designation for role if located candidate is in Canada.
    
  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience in energy sector and/ or development engineering is preferred.
    
  • Experience in design, project execution, or operations of pipeline systems and associated facilities.
    
  • Effective leadership, project management, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
    
  • Professional designation and/or extensive experience and knowledge of AACE and PMI best practices in estimating and project management, is desirable.
    
  • Shown communicator in diverse and sophisticated team environments both written and verbal.
    
    
    Working Conditions:
    
    • Office based role.
      
    • 10-20% travel to offices of customers and internal, external partners and field locations. May include international travel. Valid passport is required for travel.

      Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
      
      Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

      Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
