Are you someone who enjoys working with data and leveraging technologies and data structures to develop reports and presentations?

Working within the scope of environment, this role is the main point of contact for analytical and performance measurement data and for environment reporting. Trends, correlations, and findings from analytic exercises are developed and delivered to partners through outstanding reports, presentations and dashboards comprised of effective and compelling visuals and commentary.

What you will do:

  • Communicate information from complex data in both written and verbal (e.g. presentations, power BI) and relay facts and analysis to varied levels of management and non-technical audiences.

  • Develop, maintain and update environment projects and operations metrics, scorecards, dashboards, reports, and presentations.

  • Provide data analytics and trending to drive insights, support decision-making, and identify improvement opportunities with trending, forecasting and analytical comparisons of data, crafting and integrating data, tables, graphs and interpretive commentary for internal and external use.

  • Collaborate with partners to understand their information needs and identify ways to visualize and present information in a user-friendly, intuitive, meaningful manner while improving overall quality, value and benefits from data.

Who you are:

  • Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in a relevant field of study, e.g. environmental engineering, business, data visualization/analytics, computer science, math, or statistics.

  • Preference for 10 or more years' experience in a data visualization (Power BI) analytics capacity, data mining and producing high-quality data driven work, advanced dashboards, and presentation materials. Experience in critical metric development, trending, benchmarking statistical analysis.

  • Advanced experience in database querying and reporting. Skilled in taking raw data from various sources and producing accurate and meaningful reports to support/inform decision-making

  • Knowledge and experience with business intelligence tools/relational database applications. Knowledge of Enablon Encompass a benefit.

  • Must possess a depth of niche knowledge related to environment and pipeline construction and operation.

  • Demonstrable ability to relay findings and trends through well written corporate messaging.

  • Public speaking and group/meeting facilitation skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment requiring extensive work at a computer, telephone, and online.

  • Periodic scheduled travel for meetings as required within Canada and the U.S.

  • Flexibility required for occasionally working extra hours if necessary.

Communication:

Include but are not limited to: Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines and complete routine forms, use existing form letter and/or conduct routine oral communication, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and/or to orally communicate technical information, communicate with individuals utilizing a telephone; required ability to hear and speak effectively on phone.
