Medical Emergency Instructor

The home base of this position is open to any location within
the Marshfield Clinic Health System.
The Medical Emergency Instructor is responsible for
coordinating, conducting and instructing staff on medical emergency
mock code drills throughout the Marshfield Clinic Health System
(MCHS). This individual will provide verbal and written feedback
and recommendations to the center/department for improving team
dynamics and processes leading to improved patient outcomes. The
functions this role completes must be correlating with the mission,
vision, policies, and key initiatives of the organization.
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma
or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an
institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for
Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Post-secondary education in emergency
medicine, emergency services, or related field.
Minimum Required: One year experience in emergency medical
services to include direct patient care. Proficiency with Microsoft
Preferred/Optional: One year in an emergency medical services
training or instructor role.
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s),
etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions
are subject to review to determine if restrictions are
substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: State of Wisconsin driver's license and an
acceptable driving record. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS) certifications provided by the American Heart Association
within three months of hire. Obtain Basic Life Support instructor
status within one year of hire.
Preferred/Optional: American Heart Association instructor status
in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),
and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) at time of hire.
