Due to the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, this position will require you to work remotely from your home with the expectation that you will return to a regular, in-office work environment. As we continue to monitor guidance from CDC and state officials there may be times you would need to report to the office on a monthly or quarterly basis for team meetings or engagement activities.


Must work within a commutable distance to the following locations: Gilbert, MN / Mendota Hts., MN / Cincinnati, OH

Responsible for general sales and administrative support for Anthem's Connect Sales Team for Small Group Specialty business in the 2-50 employer group size in 11 states and 2-100 employer group size in Anthem's three remaining states (CA, CO and NY).

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Logging information and data in systems and databases, producing reports, generating small group specialty quotes, executing field discounting, working closely with UW and the sales team to ensure timely communication for driving volume sales growth to meet goals.
  • Provides phone support and processes quote requests, manages email boxes, prepares and logs proposals, researches and in some markets, resolves routine sales, and benefit issues.
  • Gathers, inputs, and tracks sales data and competitive intel, sharing with Connect leadership and sales teams.



  • Requires a high school diploma; 1 year of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Independent work alongside sharing work as a team.
  • Insurance background a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently, or as a team.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
