Troubleshoots production issues to determine root cause and corrective actions. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Supports production to drive success in key performance indicators. Specifies tooling requirements and manages tooling implementation projects. Recommend, justify, and implement new manufacturing equipment.Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Follow all safety standards and policies and ensure a safe operating environment, including use of appropriate protective equipment and identification of potential safety concerns.Documentation Development and release through document controlManufacturing Bill of Materials development along with ongoing administration and updates.Development and maintenance of illustrated work instructions that clearly define and show process steps and quality requirementsDevelopment of visual management standards as it applies to tooling, conveyance, parts, operations, and layoutDevelopment of product synchronization and process flow establishing an effective and efficient work sequenceDevelopment and design of mixed model production linesDevise new solutions to existing manufacturing problemsApply working knowledge of product design and assembly to improve the manufacturing processMentor other engineers and technicians in best practicesQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Manufacturing Engineering and Mechanical Engineering preferredExperience with Demand Flow Technology(DFT) preferred6 years of Manufacturing Engineering experienceDemonstrated Proficiencies/Skills/Abilities: Engineering and Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems and lead a systematic approach to determine root cause and corrective actions.Project Management: Ability to drive projects to completion using tools and tactics to specify scope, schedule, and resource requirements.Communication: Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively with all levels of the organization in both verbal and written forms.Mathematics: Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.Design: Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft office and computer usage/application. CAD software skills desired - skills in Creo preferred.
