The Sr.--Strategic Business Partner serves as a consultative business partner to assigned business--clients. The Sr.--Strategic Business Partner is fully dedicated to internal client needs while they help to develop and implement better HR management practices. This position will be responsible for utilizing HR knowledge and experience to assess human capital needs,--considering--business objectives, and to deliver effective HR solutions. The Sr.--Strategic Business Partner is an experienced HR professional who has broad experience in various areas of HR expertise. They perform a high level and wide range of HR tasks and projects in such functional areas as employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, talent management, EEO/AAP, and training & development. Responsibilities

  • Create functional talent plans and assess talent and performance gaps in order to develop and deliver human capital strategies
  • Design and develop a strategy with assigned business clients to implement talent related initiatives around attraction & selection, development and engagement as well as work-force planning
  • Foster and maintain strong internal relationships throughout their assigned client groups and be a sought after thought partner to leaders. Partner with leaders to evaluate organizational structure of the internal client and propose changes that align with the business
  • Analyze talent trends and metrics to proactively develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Provides management coaching to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues
  • Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations when needed
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required
  • Leads and contributes to the strategic direction and formulation of corporate-wide people initiatives such as communication strategies, cultural programs, policies, procedures, technology platforms
  • Delivers thought leadership to enhance organizational design, team effectiveness to increase productivity and team member engagement to support retention
  • Provide leadership and coaching to other strategic business partners
  • Provides compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling
  • Drives and facilitates effective performance management practices to create and maintain a high-performance culture that improves organizational capability
  • Advises and counsels management on performance and ensuring that the annual reviews reflect a representation of the employee's annual accomplishments and areas for development
  • Coaches managers and employees on performance improvements/corrective actions
  • Partners with the Learning and Development team to develop, facilitate and deliver training Required skills
    • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree and HR certification preferred
    • Minimum of 7-9 years of experience required. Preferably in the IT industry
    • Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative
    • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders to use company best practices for maximum effectiveness
    • Project Management and change management skills
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Advanced ability in exercising sound judgment on employment-related matters
    • Superb ability to build effective working relationships with team members at all levels of the organization
    • Ability to balance the needs of both leaders and team members
    • Proven ability to successfully work as a team member
    • Ability to deliver effective small and large group presentations
    • Excellent knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
    • Superb ability to exercise appropriate discretion when working with confidential and sensitive matters and information is required
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
    • Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
