Assistant General Counsel - Employment

Overview: Asbury Automotive is seeking an Assistant General Counsel - Employment to fill a newly created role to meet the employment law needs of the Company. The Assistant General Counsel - Employment will partner directly with corporate and field personnel and Company leadership to lead the employment law function and provide legal advice on employment matters. This role will be an integral member of a highly respected legal team tasked with providing efficient and effective legal support to all levels of the Company on issues including, but not limited to, alleged discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, whistle-blower claims, retaliation claims and claims for wrongful termination, employee discipline, and pay plan issues.

Experience: A minimum of 8+ years of legal practice experience focused on employment counseling and litigation, including experience with relevant federal and state regulations.

Compensation: Competitive compensation consisting of base, bonus, and equity, commensurate with experience.

Location: Duluth, GA (northeast suburbs of Atlanta).

Relocation: Local candidates are strongly preferred.
