Job Description:

General Description: This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of IT technical operations. Working with the Analysts and the Business they will define SLA's and best practices to effectively Monitor, Alert, Respond and Report on our services and applications. They will drive the effort to work with the different support teams to define what 'good health' means for each of the critical applications and devise automated scripts that can be executed to verify everything is operating normally as well as scripts to restore service. Performance Requirements: * Act as key point of contact for escalations and for senior solution leaders offering first level advisory services to these internal clients. Responsible for identifying when something needs escalating and finding ways to manage a variety situations. Communicate to Senior Leadership on major incidents and outages. * Managing incidents related to application, database, middleware or cloud infrastructure. Focal point for the environment issues. * Monitoring security patches availability, assessing risks and ensuring timely deployment of patches. Work closely with business partners in IT and across the organization to resolve application issues. * Creating maintenance window plan and ensuring resources are available for scheduled activities. * Creating and maintaining documentation such as infrastructure design specifications and diagrams, operational guides and methodology documentation. * Defining backup and data retention schemes. * Maintain knowledge of best practices for the IT Infrastructure teams. * Run an operational organization defining service-level objectives, optimizing operational activities and driving visibility into operations through analysis, trending and measurement. * Maintain the health of IT system environment first through ownership of the change management process, monitoring and managing incident closure and finally by directing critical incident resolution as needed. Work Experience and Education Requirements * Bachelors Degree in IT or related field. * 5-10 years of service delivery experience in implementing and maintaining real-time, high-volume transactional systems. * Strong experience in engagements that span tracks of work including User Experience, Technology, Project Management, Business Analysis, Systems Integration, Migration and Infrastructure * Project management experience in live product engineering, technical operations or Site Reliability related role. * Must be analytically and technical oriented. * Expert knowledge of production tools and methodologies. * Experience leading key initiatives against strict timeline and multiple priorities * Experience working in a consultative manner with clients and serving as a key advisor and partner. * Knowledge of the retail industry is a plus. * Proven ability to build trust with others through a commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards. * Comfortable with ambiguity; can handle the unexpected with flexibility. * A team player who favors collaborative approaches when working with internal and external partners. * Demonstrated strong leadership presence * This role has the ability to be located in Minneapolis, MN OR Duluth, MN
