big-picture view of what you'll do:
Care for the personal care and
hygiene needs of patients in facilities such as nursing homes,
assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and hospitals
-Work with a team of physicians, RNs, LPNs and aides to deliver
excellent patient careHelp with daily needs such as bathing,
toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and nutritional intakeAssist
with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercisesCheck
vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document
any changesObserve patient and notify supervisor of issues
requiring a change in care, medication or equipmentA few must-haves
for Certified Nursing Assistants:
High school diploma (or equivalent)
and active Nursing Assistant Certification in MinnesotaMinimum of 1
year -of CNA experience in a medical facilityKnowledge of state and
federal healthcare laws and regulationsCompassionate nature, good
