PRACTICE SPECIFICS * We are looking for a patient-centered Endocrinologist to join our team of 5 Physicians (including 1 Pediatric Endocrinologist), 5 NP/PAs and 18 additional staff. * Great position for work/life balance. * Call: rotation including weekends; coverage includes inpatient diabetes care. We will openly discuss this as part of the interview process. * Inpatient coverage at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, a 344-bed tertiary care hospital, Level I Adult Trauma Center -or- Essentia Health-Duluth, a 165-bed hospital – both located on the same connected campus. * Call is in effect for providers during office business hours only and triaged through our RN team first. An NP/PA team covers all hospital glucose management. * Capability to apply and analyze latest diabetes related devices including pumps, sensors, and meters. * Primarily outpatient practice: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. * Some outreach possible. * No evening, weekend, or holiday call. * Patient volume/day: 10-12. REQUIREMENTS * BC/BE in Endocrinology, or * BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with a strong interest in Diabetes care. LOCATION * Duluth, MN at the westernmost tip of Lake Superior * 150 miles north of the north of Minneapolis/St. Paul * Metro population: 125,000 * Regional service area: 460,000. Comprised of 20 clinics and 7 Hospitals * Urban and Rural Options for Living * Numerous Outdoor Recreational Activities Including Paddleboarding, Kayaking, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Golfing, Fishing, Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing COMPENSATION * $309,000 for BC/BE Endocrinologist.
