Sterile Processing Tech Location: Ashland, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,844 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Sterile Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour shifts Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required License: Not required for submission Certifications: BLS Certification, CRCST Must-Have: - Experience in endoscope GI reprocessing - Prefer experience with Steris, Medivator, and Sterrad - Prefer robotic and eye instrument experience Description: Responsible for all reprocessing duties within the department. Not accountable for case carts or supply management. Common cases include total joints, ankle/knee scopes, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, Nissen fundoplication, bowel resection, hernia repair, ear tubes, tonsillectomy, sinus procedures, cystoscopy, bladder tumor procedures, dental, podiatry, gastrointestinal, eye (retina), and endoscopic procedures. Familiarity with common equipment to disinfect and supplies to sterilize is required, including Steris, Medivator, and Sterrad. If there is a later case, late shift expected to stay until finished. Weeknight call requirements may include staying to cover if needed. Weekend call requirements involve being on call approximately every 8 weeks. Participation in holiday rotation for coverage is expected. Unit/department-specific orientation may take up to 2 weeks but generally shorter for seasoned technicians.
