Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Hayward, WI Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,114 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position ID: 75188482 Shift: 12H Days, Nights flexible to work days or nights Description: Unit : Emergency Room | RNHOUSING: Confirm the candidate has looked into housing in the area with the submittal. Leads available.- Trauma Level: 4, Not STEMI or Stroke center- Beds/Trauma Bays: 12 beds and 2 trauma rooms.- Do you have a Fast Track: Yes- Do you have a separate Triage area: Yes, separate triage area. We would prefer travelers be trained to triage.- Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER: Intermixed.- Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms: Behavioral health ligature safe room.- Is Security in-house 24/7: In house at night and on the weekends.- On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day: 15,500 visits per year, seasonal fluctuation (averages out to about 40/day for context).- Nurse/Patient Ratios: From 11p-8a 2 RNs, add an RN at 8-8 and from 11a-11p.- Required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC preferred, NRP preferred, ENPC nicety.- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Variable- Experience: ER & urgent care experience.- Common drips: Variable- ED Physician/Mid-Levels: ED Physician 24/7 in house, mid-level coverage at peak times.- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: There is always a House Supervisor, HS not required to take assignment.- Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters: Patient care techs.- Is RT in the ER 24/7: Not 24/7 no, RT assists as needed.- RT Equipment: Call RT in for vents, RT assists as needed RN's support as well.- Do you have Monitor Techs in the ER: Mindray, we do not have monitor techs.- X-Ray or CT in the ER: Yes right next door.- Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RN's draw: Both- Shifts & Scheduling: No, we do not allow self scheduling. There is the potential for block scheduling if requested. All 12 hour shifts. Shift will depend on the need. - Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.- Holiday Holidays.- Is there call or a standby Floating for ER travelers at this time.- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Charcoal/pewter gray scrubs. Any style.- Unit/Department specific orientation: Dependent on individual person.
