working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in
Hayward, Wisconsin, 54843! Job Title: Emergency Room Registered
Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ER (Emergency

Must-Have: ER and urgent care experience Description: Department:
Emergency Room. This position requires a trauma level 4 facility.
The emergency room has 12 beds and 2 trauma rooms. There is a Fast
Track system in place. There is a separate triage area, and
preference is for travelers to be trained in triage. The holding
area for patients is intermixed within the emergency room. There is
a behavioral health ligature-safe room. Security is present
in-house during nights and weekends. On average, the emergency room
treats around 15,500 visits annually, equating to approximately 40
patients daily. The nurse to patient ratios include 2 RNs from 11
pm to 8 am, with one additional RN added from 8 am to 8 pm and two
RNs from 11 am to 11 pm. Required certifications include BLS, PALS,
ACLS, with TNCC, NRP, and ENPC being preferred. The common
diagnoses and types of patients treated are variable. Experience in
both ER and urgent care settings is preferred. Clinical situations
may involve variable common drips. An ED physician is available
24/7 on-site, and mid-level coverage is provided during peak times.
There is always a House Supervisor present, who is not required to
take on patient assignments. Patient care technicians are available
to assist. Respiratory therapy is not available 24/7 but assists as
needed. RT equipment is called in for ventilator support, and RNs
provide assistance as necessary. There are no monitor techs in the
emergency room, and Mindray is the system used. X-Ray and CT
services are available adjacent to the emergency room. Both
phlebotomy technicians and RNs are responsible for drawing labs.
Self-scheduling is not permitted; however, block scheduling may be
requested. All shifts are 12 hours in length. Weekend requirements
are every other weekend. Holiday requirements involve rotating
holidays. There is no call or standby requirement. Floating is not
required for emergency room travelers. The dress code consists of
charcoal or pewter gray scrubs of any style. Unit-specific
orientation will be determined based on individual needs. 5
