qualified ER/Trauma RN in Hayward, Wisconsin, 54843! Pay

Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts, Day and Evening Mid
shifts available Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in ER and urgent care experience License: Valid
nursing license required Certifications: Required certifications
include BLS, ACLS, and PALS. TNCC and NRP preferred. ENPC is a
nicety. Must-Have: Experience with trauma and variable patient
diagnoses. Ability to work with a nurse-to-patient ratio that
varies throughout the day. Description: Department: Emergency Room.
The facility has a trauma level of 4 and is not a STEMI or stroke
center. There are 12 beds and 2 trauma rooms. The department has a
Fast Track and a separate triage area. Travelers should be trained
to triage. Holding areas are intermixed within the ER. Behavioral
health measures are in place with a ligature-safe room. Security is
in-house at night and on weekends. On average, the department
treats about 40 patients a day. During the night from 11 PM to 8
AM, there are 2 RNs, with an additional RN added from 8 AM to 11
PM. Required certifications for this position include BLS, PALS,
ACLS, and preferred TNCC, NRP, and ENPC. Common patient care
involves variable diagnoses. ED Physicians are available 24/7
in-house with mid-level coverage during peak times. There is a
House Supervisor present at all times, who is not required to take
assignments. Patient care techs support the nursing staff.
Respiratory Therapy is not available 24/7 but assists as needed.
X-Ray and CT services are available adjacent to the ER. Both
phlebotomists and RNs draw labs. Shifts are not self-scheduled, but
block scheduling may be an option if requested. Every other weekend
availability is required, along with rotating holiday shifts. There
is no on-call or standby requirement for this position. No floating
requirements for travelers in this department. Scrub colors are
charcoal/pewter gray, and any style is acceptable. Orientation is
dependent on individual needs. Charting is done using an EPIC
