Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist (CT Tech) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a computed tomography (CT) scanner to perform diagnostic imaging procedures. As a CT Tech, you will play a crucial role in patient care by obtaining high-quality images for physicians to diagnose medical conditions accurately and promptly. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality CT scans of various body parts, including the head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis, based on physician orders and patient needs. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and providing emotional support. Prepare and maintain the CT equipment, including routine cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting minor technical issues. Administer contrast agents (oral or intravenous) under the supervision of a physician or as directed by department protocols. Review images for quality and accuracy, ensuring that they meet clinical and diagnostic requirements. Prepare and maintain patient records, including medical histories, procedure details, and relevant documentation. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis. Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control standards, and radiation safety guidelines to minimize risk to patients and staff. Assist in patient positioning to ensure optimal imaging results, considering patient comfort and condition. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Stay updated on the latest CT technology, imaging techniques, and radiologic practices through ongoing professional development and training.
