Job Description:
St. Luke's Mental Health has an excellent opportunity for a
BC/BE Psychiatrist to join an established practice in a
hospital-employed position. This practice includes 3 psychiatrists
and 2 nurse practitioners. Position highlights: --- Primarily
outpatient-based practice seeing 12-15 patients per day --- On-site
support team including social workers and licensed psychologists
--- Full EMR, including software-based dictation capability ---

with 2 additional weeks for CME JOB SUMMARY Physicians provide
comprehensive care for the appropriate patient population including
diagnosing and treating a wide variety of illnesses that can occur
in any of the body systems. Physicians use a variety of diagnostic
and therapeutic techniques to treat patients through medication and
hospitalization. Responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing
patients and providing them with healthcare services that embody
the St. Luke's mission, The Patient Above All Else. Prescribes
patients with appropriate procedures, medication, health regimens
and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery
from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues and
promote a healthier life. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: MD or
DO degree from an accredited medical school. Experience: Completion
of accredited residency program.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current or pending license in
Minnesota and/or WI to practice as Physician. Current Drug
Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS)
registration for prescription writing in Minnesota and/or
Wisconsin. Board eligible or Board certified in the appropriate
specialty PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: N/A Experience: N/A
Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A Knowledge of current
principles and techniques of physician practice. Ability to
function as a team leader, primary provider and role model; to
accept individual responsibility and accountability for decisions
and outcome; to communicate effectively with patients, families,
personnel and other Physicians and establish professional working
relationships with the same. To recognize the legal limits of
physician practice; to maintain professional competency through
continuing education and independent study. Ability to support St.
Luke's goals and objectives. READING - Advanced: Ability to read,
analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to
respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.
WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports,
correspondence, or procedures. SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to
effectively present information in one-on-one, small group
situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other
employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Advanced:
Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematical concepts such
as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan
and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such
as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical
situations. REASONING ABILITY - Advanced Skills: Ability to define
and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid
conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or
diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

unpredictable situations; handles emergency or crisis situations;
may perform emergency care; occasionally subjected to irregular
