Training Manager reports to -the Director, Quality for Altec, Inc.,
The position serves as a vital member of the Quality Team. - The
selected candidate will be located in an Altec production facility
with 30% to 40% travel. -Responsibilities MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
(Examples of Work Performed) -
- Supports and assists Altec associates and suppliers with
regards to the implementation of Quality Systems and tools -
- Develops training programs for presentations and stays industry
informed to improve programs going forward -
- Trains Altec associates and suppliers on Quality System and
tools -
- Facilitates continuous improvement/kaizen events -
- Assists teams with root cause investigations of quality
problems and identification of effective solutions -
- Oversees the development of training content, including the
creation and publication of e-courses in the Altec Learning
Management System -
- Schedules and coordinates training with Altec plants (remote
and in-person) -
- Assists with and/or conducts on-site audits of Altec Plants

- Evaluates critical methods and procedures to determine how they
might be improved -
- All other duties as assigned -Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Ability to apply quality systems -
- Ability to lead through influence -
- Ability to teach and facilitate use of Quality tools in a
manufacturing environment (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Layered
Process Audits, 8D Root Cause Analysis, MSA, SPC) -
- Excellent problem-solving abilities -
- Excellent facilitation skills - -
- Six Sigma experience preferred -
- Previous training experience preferred -
- PC skills using spreadsheets, word processing and other office
management applications required (proficient in use of Office 360)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills -
- Travel 30-40% -EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED -
- Bachelor's degree -
- Minimum of five years in a Quality leadership role with
experience in successful Quality Management Systems implementation
