Job Description:
The Nursing Manager provides clinical and administrative
leadership to nurses, techs, and health unit coordinators on the
inpatient units.This position is eligible for a $3,000 sign-on
bonus!Responsibilities:Responsible for hiring, monitoring, and
evaluating staff performanceWorks collaboratively with the CNO and
other Nurse Managers to establish and implement patient care
practices that are evidence-based and patient-centeredIdentify
incident trends and areas for improvement and lead performance
improvement activitiesSpends approximately 10% of time working
alongside and supporting staff indirect patient care, role modeling
professionalism and therapeutic nurse-patient relationshipsActs as
a resource for staff regarding clinical careEnsure that the
requirements set forth by the MN Department of Health for hospital
licensure, CMS, and Joint Commission for the delivery of safe and
effective care and treatment are carried out at the unit
levelRequirements:Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
Licensure in the State of Minnesota as an RN requiredTwo years of
clinical experience in Psychiatric Nursing requiredPrevious
supervisory, lead, or charge experience preferredAbility to
smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasksAbility to
communicate well both verbally and in writingAbility to react
quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle emergency
situationsAbility to make effective decisions while in stressful
situations and circumstancesAfter training, be able to manage
disruptive and explosive patientsDriven by our values and
