Purpose The Operations Manager is responsible for the building
operations particularly in the areas of the Zinema and Teatro,
overseeing building maintenance and repairs, and is responsible for
gaining revenue through event bookings, ticket sales, concessions,
and the successful management of the Zinema and Teatro staff.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities --- Recruit, train, schedule,
manage, and motivate staff in Teatro & Zinema--- Six month
performance review--- Based on verbal warning, written warning, and
let go policy--- Respond to customer queries and maintain public
relations--- Place orders and conduct inventory for building
supplies and concessions--- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of
building in collaboration with part-time maintenance technician---
Oversee payroll reports for Zinema & Teatro staff--- Attend
Manager's meetings and update team on large events and
operations--- Responsible for covering for employees when absent---
Maintain POS system--- Maintain relationship with Renegade's season
subscribers in partnership with the Box Office Coordinator---
Handle phone reservations for tickets and season passes in
partnership with the Box Office Coordinator--- Maintain poster
displays in Zinema/Teatro--- Maintain marquee--- Develop basic
understanding of Teatro and Zinema equipment and help manage its
use and maintenance--- Coordinate comp reservations in partnership
with Box Office Coordinator--- Book events in cafe, private dining
room, atrium, conference room, Teatro and Zinema--- Maintain
calendars of these spaces and coordinates events--- Verify event
details with customers by sending them the event sheet and
confirming details--- Distribute event information to key staff,
lead event meetings and ensure a good understanding of event
details--- Send thank you notes to event booking customers and asks
for repeat business--- Ensure payments are collected for all
events--- Actively seeks out new events and promotes repeat
business--- Maintain event sales spreadsheet--- Develop, implement
and maintain operational procedures for entire building that create
cohesion, connection and customer satisfaction--- Contribute to the
overall success of Zeitgeist by performing other essential duties
and responsibilities as assigned or directed Key Performance
Indicators --- Maintains a high level of customer service and sales
in Teatro & Zinema--- Maintains food & beer cost ratios in Zinema &
Teatro--- Increases repeat business and concession sales through
upselling and special offers--- Ensures successful event bookings
by verifying information and communicating details to key staff---
Maintains a high level of cleanliness, upkeep of building, and
building operations The Ideal Candidate will --- Demonstrate
experience in managing a team in a positive and productive manner
leading to positive customer interactions and increased sales---
Work to integrate the arts, voice, and cultural expression into all
of Zeitgeist's work--- Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a
high level of cleanliness and smooth operations of multiple
spaces--- Demonstrate an interest in booking events and ensuring
customer satisfaction Qualifications / Experience --- Experience in
program management including budget and staff management--- Strong
oral and written communication skills--- Ability to effectively
manage a team--- Ability to build relationships and work
effectively with internal staff and the public on events--- The
ability to work independently and with a team while meeting
deadlines Job Status & Salary This position is a full-time employee
of Zeitgeist. The starting salary will be between $40,000 and
$50,000 per year, and the role includes the following benefits:
access to medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan with company
contributions, Paid Time Off, short and long term disability, and
