JOB SUMMARY

• Reporting to the Director of Business Services, the position is responsible for managing a fully integrated patient billing and follow up process that includes a team of Patient Account Representatives, Billing Analyst, and clerical support. This unit serves as the hospital's primary point of generating third party claims and following up and collection of patient account balances. The staff provides information to third party payers in the form of UB, HCFA or other required billing forms, as well as supporting written documentation when required and responses to telephone inquires for claim information.
  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's in management or health care related field OR (see Experience).
  • Experience: Five (5) years experience in management or health care.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience: Previous patient accounts/billing supervisory experience.
