Job Description:

The Patient Access Representative is responsible to facilitate the patient registration flow, including such activities as point of service patient identification; gathering demographic information; securing financial, third-party, and sponsorship data; obtaining required signatures and documents needed for compliance and appropriately collecting co-payment and reconciling cash. The Patient Access Representative may also be responsible for pre-registration, benefit verification and pre-admission, ED patient arrival, and tele-communication services. Position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.

Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. Insurance verification and/or registration experience. One year customer service experience in a professional business office setting (face to face preferred). Current computer skills, including website/online navigation. All experience within prior five years.

Specific equipment utilized: computer, insurance card scanner, credit card machine, phone, copy machine, printers


Shift Hours: Day and Evening shift

Hrs Needed/Week: 80 hrs/pay period (every two weeks)

Start Date: 12/15/2014

End Date: 03/12/2014

Days: Monday - Sunday

Hourly Pay Rate: $13.36/hr
