The UMD Admissions Counselor, as a member of the UMD Admissions
team, is responsible for the recruitment of prospective
undergraduate students to the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD)
through territory management, travel, prospective student
communication, admissions presentations, prospective student and
family meetings, and candidate file review. This person will have
significant travel responsibilities, which may include greater
Minnesota, Wisconsin, Dakotas, and areas within or surrounding the
Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. The Admissions Counselor plans and
implements a student recruitment program designed to meet
enrollment goals in a targeted geographic area with diverse student
populations. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, self-motivated,
and results- oriented with the ability to think creatively and
implement new initiatives. The ideal candidate will also have a
talent for fostering relationships and providing excellent customer
service to students, families, mentors, and other influencers
within schools, communities, and organizations from diverse racial
and ethnic backgrounds.This is a full-time, 12-month, P&A,
annually renewable, exempt position based in either Duluth or the
Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Salary is dependent on experience and
qualifications. The salary range is $40,000-$50,000.
