Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY The Administrative Secretary provides advanced and
complex secretarial and administrative support services to Clinic
Directors and other management staff often times involving
confidential information. Responsible for composing and editing
correspondence and reports; establishing and maintaining records;
coordinating and supporting special projects; investigating
information and providing assistance for a variety of other related
activities. Requires excellent communication skills to establish
and maintain positive internal and external working relationships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School diploma or
equivalent, plus completion of specialized secretarial coursework
or equivalent, OR (see Experience). Experience: Three (3) years of
secretarial experience, including at least two (2) years in a
health care setting. Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: N/A Experience: Executive
assistant experience. Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of basic communication
skills and working with people. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to
communicate assertively and appropriately with employees and the
general public; ability to operate duplicating equipment; to spell
and use good English; to understand and carry out oral and written
instructions; to maintain records, files and reports and keep them
organized; to maintain confidentiality; to prioritize and meet
deadlines; to work concurrently with numerous details and
interruptions with accuracy and timeliness. # READING -
Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as
operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports,
correspondence, or procedures. SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak
simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to
add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with
10#s and 100#s. Ability to perform these operations using units of
American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common
sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,
oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving
several concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL
